Electro-pop producer Plastic Punk pours his heart into debut single "Dark Secrets"

It's a big leap for most to put their art on the market. Whether it's music, paintings or any form of art really. Plastic Punk went the extra mile and made "Dark Secrets" as an outlet express his emotions going through the covid-19 pandemic. "My debut single "Dark Secrets," was inspired by how disconnected I felt during much of the Covid 19 pandemic. It's a song that asks if love might offer a fleeting deliverance from the emotional and psychological heartache that stems from loneliness".

After listening to the track, I think we can speak for everyone that we thank you for making a beautiful song, that we hope will get the recognition it deserves! We also got Plastic Punk to answer a few questions in an interview. Make sure to have a listen to his debut single at the bottom of the article!

What are your biggestmotivations?

Building up my fanbase and making sure each track I drop is better than the last.

What are your ultimate career goals?

Long term, my career goal is to land a major record deal. My daily career goals would have to be, building up my catalog. I was shooting for dropping singles every month, but it's looking like it'll be every other month.

How do you go about honing your musicskills?

I switched from Ableton about a year ago, so I'm always interested in learning new tricks in myDAW(Logic).I also try to stay up on my musictheory.

Describe your dream project?

It would be really cool to work with Charlie XCX or DojaCat.

What are your biggest influences?

I've been listening to a lot of downtempo lately. Also, a bit of indie.

How do you overcome creative blocks?

Honestly, If I feel like a song is starting to fight me, I'll just work on something else. Nine times out of ten, its usually marketing stuff.

Does music help you in other areas in your life?

I think it does for sure. I'm always in a better mood when working on music or just listening to music.
